2017_02_28_22461_1488271266._largeThe feels – kilig hanggang langit. Sorry na, wala kasi akong life, ito lang ang inspiration ko. Haha! Pero in fairness, super kilig ang pair ni Bong-soon and Min-min. It’s not the OTP pero I can forgive the transference of emotions to Min-min from Gook-du. This is the first alpha heroine drama I watched and I loved it! It’s a rom-com with a bit of dark criminal elements. Despite the loop holes in the storyline, ito yung tipong mapapa-smile ka at the end.

1a65Okay so basically, I watched this before I watched Hwarang. Ongoing pa siya that time which is why I was able to finish Hwarang before this ended. Ang guapo ni Park Hyung-sik plus he gave the character his best. Ang cute niya tingnan pag kinikilig siya coz of Bong-soon. On a serious note, the writers did not fully develop that part about his family and his trauma.

The first ever Kdrama I watched 9 years ago! I recently re-watched this for so many reasons. The first one was because I just finished watching Gong Yoo in Goblin. I’ve forgotten the feel of the show since it’s been a while. There’s so many things I loved about this drama. So yes, this is still one of the best kdramas out there.

image104Coffee Prince is a very light gender bender show and a typical rom-com. Gong Yoo’s portrayal of Han-kyul is superb. Sa sobrang galing ng portayal nya, Han-kyul turned into this loveable and complex person, not just some rich pitiful playboy. I don’t know any other Yoon Eun-hye drama but she was amazing as Go Eun-chan. Ang galing nya with the boy-act and I liked the type of friendship she had with Han-kyul.

First and foremost, I’m not a big fan of anything that says time travel. Time paradox can get complicated kasi. Thus I seldom watch anything to do with it. With that said, my review on this one is not very objective. The only reason I watched this is because a good friend recommended it.

36d63e13a41b4914c198498542211de7What I think + Spoilers: A lot of bromance and pretty boys on this one! So basically Lee-gak is from the Joseon era whose wife was murdered. While investigating, he along with his entourage jumped to present time, to be exact, in Park-ha’s rooftop house. Park-ha grew up in the US and she came back to Korea to look for his father. May reincarnation plot din ang show. Ang daming funny moments ng show like when Lee-gak and the guys were trying to adjust to the current world. However, mid-season, I got bored. Medyo predictable na sya, alam mo na kung sino yung bad and good guys. Medyo light sya, nothing extraodrinary happened. The ending is realistically sad. They did not end up together as Lee-gak was brought back to his time. Will I watch this again? No. Will I recommend this? No. However if you’re into temporal paradoxes, go for it.

20120412_rooftop_prince_yoochun_jimin_2Synopis: Tae-mu (Lee Tae-sung), after killing his lost cousin in the United States, returns to Korea, claiming that his cousin, Tae-yong (Park Yoochun), could not be found in New York City. Meanwhile, Tae-mu has been having a secret affair with Se-na (Jeong Yu-mi), his secretary, who, in turn, runs into her long-lost stepsister Park-ha (Han Ji-min). Park-ha has been missing for a prolonged period of time and it is revealed that she was in the US after Se-na abandoned her in a truck driving away when she was nine.

Chief-KimChief Kim also known as Good Manager is a workplace comedy. This is the first non-romantic Kdram I watched. Actually I was hoping that there’d be some romance, kahit slight lang. Haha! But on the later episodes, tama lang din na walang masyadong romance yung plot. It’s not the right feel.

Cha Tae Hyun was first offered the role and thank goodness he declined coz Namgoong Min is just perfect as Chief Kim. I saw Namgoong sa Beautiful Gong Shim and he was amazing there. Bagay sa kanya yung medyo comedic na mga characters, yung tipong tatanga-tanga pero sobra smart pala.

DaNKr5XSo dito, Chief Kim here is an accountant for a gangster. On the sideline, he was also embezzling from his boss. His boss threw him out coz medyo na-threaten sya sa authority ni Chief Kim over his people. So Chief Kim had to apply at TQ Group’s Business Operations department. His initial goal was to embezzle enough money for him to move abroad. Things got complicated as he became embroiled in office politics. He saw the corporate corruption and how it affected employees.

April showsIt’s been over a month! Work has been crazy, I didn’t have the energy to blog the past weeks. I’ve been depressed and uninspired. But that doesn’t necessarily mean I’ve also stopped watching Kdramas. The shows were my energy booster, thank goodness!

I’ve watched quite a lot but haven’t written anything. Which means I have tons to review/rant about plus the pending drafts still queued in my posts. So for the past few weeks I’ve watched the following:

  • I Need Romance 2
  • I Need Romance 3
  • Hwarang
  • Introverted Boss
  • Strong Woman Do Bong Soon
  • Chief Kim
  • Tomorrow With You

The ongoing shows I’m following:

  • Radiant Office
  • The Liar and His Lover
  • My Secret Romance

I watched two (2) movies just because it’s Kim Woo Bin and Ji Chang Wook:

  • Master
  • Fabricated City (I will have to rewatch this coz the subs were terrible.)

So yes, I’ve also been busy watching. Haha! The reviews might come slow because I would need to go re-watch some episodes while writing, just so I could get the feel of the show.

Definitely, I will be posting my thoughts in the next few days.
